Best Day of my Life
Once again he decided to grow his mustache out. Why? I can't explain it. He gets some sort of satisfaction out of growing his beard long, shaving it into a mustache and then growing it even longer. I told him I would not shave my legs until he shaved his mustache (Thanks Sis. Mcdowell!). Although for a while it did not affect him at all, when my legs started looking like his I really think it got to him (even though he denies it).
I am happy to say that as an early Valentine's Day present, he shaved it! Yes! Yes! Yes! My man loves me! Even though he got many compliments on his mustache I think he is so much cuter without it. I can't kiss him when his top lip is full of hair, it's too weird! But I know even you can't deny it, he's so cute!
So we wish you a happy Sunday and a happy No-Mustache Day!!
Another addition to the Fam
Erik and I have been married for a little over a year now, as you know. For a few months we have been feeling like something is missing from our lives. So around Christmas time, we had Douglas. He was the best thing that ever happened to us, we loved him as our own (a tree? yes a tree).
Isn't she wonderful! I bet you all thought I was pregnant didn't you?? Well not yet, as much as I would like to be Erik's mustache needs to be gone before we start any of that business (otherwise he'll look even more like a 70's porn star/rapist). We have shared the same car the whole time we were engaged and the past year we have been married. Its been fun because we go everywhere together, but then it has been HORRIBLE because I was the one who always had to bum rides off of family members and friends. I know they are just as excited that I got a car as I am. So no, I am not pregnant and we are not having a baby. Instead I have a car! We named her Ray. Obviously she's a girl but Ray just seemed to fit her. And she's all mine! (now im curious, how many people thought i was preggo?)
Remember him? It was a bit of a sad day when we had to get rid of him. That space in our house was hard to fill.
Now that Miss Ruby has been born we have been so baby hungry! ( well, I have been baby hungry). I have been doing the best I can to convince Erik it's our time to have a baby (he knows me well enough to know it's not). So instead of getting a pregnant belly, Erik bought me this:

She's Here!!
Ruby Mae Holmstrom entered our lives on January 27th. She is the cutest thing ever and I can't get enough of her!
Erik has been so excited to be an uncle, I just hope his mustache doesn't scare her away too much.
She's so beautiful! We find ourselves at her house everyday just so we can hold her. Thank goodness we live in the same apartment complex!
Stay tuned for another new addition to our family!
