I didn't have to ask him either

A Little Late

I know it is a bit late, but I couldn't let this one slip by. My dad is one of the coolest people I have ever known. I know everyone says how great and wonderful their own dad is, but seriously, my dad rocks. First of all I think he is a serious stud. Many people compare him to the one and only Kevin James.

Personally, I don't see it. Although he is super funny like Kevin, and his dance moves are pretty much the same my dad is way better looking.

My dad has always been so supportive of me. He splits being my number one fan with my mom and husband. I could not have asked for someone better.

Sometimes I feel like he is more of a friend than my dad. He is and has been one of my best friends for years. He is pretty much bomb. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a friend. I personally think he is also one of the funniest people. I even have a "Dad" flag that I wave whenever he says something funny, or whenever I am feeling proud for being his daughter.

So here is a tribute to my dad, one of the greatest men I'll ever know.
I love you dad!
**P.S. My dad has way more muscle than Kevin James does**

I Hate

The summer heat.

My butt is always on fire when riding my bike to school.

My seat is too hot.

I love the warmth, I love Arizona.
I prefer it to the cold snow.

But I don't like the blazing sun.

The next time I'll be enjoying those uv rays,
I'll be doing this-

Anyone else want to join?

Say Goodbye/Say Hello

Today I repotted one of my plants.
I had to say goodbye to the original Ms. Marigold.
If you were around when she came into the family you remember how important she was.
But thank goodness I kept the package of seeds,
and now her posterity can live on.
We'll see if Ms. Marigold Round 2 will conquer.

And now I say hello to the new-and-improved Ms. Marigold.
(left)
I know she is nothing yet, but she soon will be!
We'll see if my dad's green thumb has been passed down another generation.
**Notice how the zinnias on the right are flourishing**

At The Husband's Request

As The Husband and I were reading over our post, we realized a few pics that could not have gone forgotten.
The two of us on the quad. I usually like to drive, but I had to give him a chance every once in a while. (I accidently erased this one on the last post and was too lazy to put it back on.)

The gun was so loud when firing that we had to cover each others ears.

Reasons why I hate this picture, but why The Husband likes it:
1. Somehow I managed to make this disgusting face while waiting for the loud BANG of the gun.
2. My "crane nose". You can see my nose from a profile view, and it is not pretty. I have broken/bruised my nose a few times in my short life so far and it is very big. That is not what my nose looked like when I was young, and its sad to say I will never get my old nose back.

Camping

This past weekend The Husband and I went on a camping trip with my mom's side of the fam. What may surprise alot of people is that we both love camping! We went to Forest Lakes for the weekend and had more fun than we thought we would.
Although Erica was sick the whole time, her and Albert still came and attempted to make the best of the weekend. She ended up in the Emergency Room for the second time in 3 days, but she left feeling better. Who knew morning sickness would be so bad?

My cousins Jordan and Kaylin are seriously hilarious. You don't even have to talk to them, you will laugh just by watching them.

This little beauty is Cecily. The 8 year old girl is one of my greatest friends because she is so loving. I look up to her so much, so I definitely loved hanging out with her all weekend. I know you can't see her face but I promise she is a gem.

After Cameron (left) had continuously beat a rock with a stick for about twenty minutes trying to start a fire my dad finally stepped in and decided to teach him the proper way. My dad had taught him all about what friction was and that oxygen was needed to start a fire. Cameron then felt the stick, jumped up and ran around screaming,
"The stick is hot! We're doing friction!"
over and over, he was so excited. The sad thing: they never actually got the fire started. Thank goodness for lighter fluid and matches.

The Husband shooting a gun. I think he enjoyed it too much, next he'll probably want one. For now we'll just stick with my dad's.

Someday we will get him some man toys because he enjoyed these jumps way too much.

After a few jumps I wouldn't let him do them with me on the back, he was too crazy! I'm sure he got tired of me screaming in his ear everytime we left the ground.
All in all we had a great weekend. Althouh I was still trying to get over strep throat, it was very relaxing and it felt great to get away from the worries that the world can bring.
Hope your weekend was as good as ours!

Crash

This is what happens after a long week of summer school and trying to overcome strep throat.
Can anyone say "crash"?

New Blog

Hey my super cool parents just started their own blog telling about all of the journeys and adventures that go on in that crazy world of theirs-so check it out!
I know what you blog stalkers are like, trust me I am one of them. Don't pretent that you won't look at it, or keep looking at it. It's super cute and my parents are totally awesome so you'll love it I promise!
Its at pkneel.blogspot.com, or you can look at my friends and click on mom and dad.
Thanks!

23 Years

It is crazy to think that my parents have been married for 23 years! They celebrated their anniversary yesterday, and even after all this time you can still tell just how in love they are.

Something I love most about my parents is that they are still teenagers inside. They are more of our friends than they are our parents (except when they were getting upset with us about chores or curfew). They both have the greatest sense of humor and they truly are two of my best friends. I always loved it in high school when people would say my parents were so cool, they would usually come over to my house to hang out with them instead of me! These high school sweethearts are the greatest examples I could ever have. Sometimes when Erik and I are about to kill each other they remind us that everything will work out, they remind us that love is always worth fighting for! This next pic shows everyone except Ashley's soon-to-be-husband Nick, and the soon-to-be-baby Olliby! (Olliver if its a boy, and Ruby if its a girl, so for right now-Olliby) No no no I'm not pregnant, but Erica is! My parents are so excited to be grandparents!
Together my parents have created the best familiy.
Happy 23rd!

Straight As An Arrow

Just for the record, I wait until we get HOME from the store to beat my wife AND I think if any guy actually sat and watched a full 2 hours of "So You Think You Can Dance?" they'd realize they've been missing out on life up until that point too...

5 Months

Yesterday Erik and I celebrated our 5 month mark--Hooray! Our celebrations consisted of me buying Mountain Dew that was on sale for one dollar at
Wal- Mart and we partied all night long. Actually we just spent the night doing homework, but we still had our Mountain Dew!

Well to show how much my husband loves me
this is a conversation we had yesterday:

Amber: Chach we've been married 5 months!
I hope you've been able to deal with me because
there is no turning back, you're stuck with me.

Erik: Dang I know. We're past the point of annulment.
I really am stuck with you.

Amber: Thanks honey, I love you too.

Of course he is kidding, and so I came up with
some reasons why I love being married to him:

1. He is super sarcastic.
Sometimes when we're in public or with other people I have to reassure them that he was not serious in whatever he just said.  Like when we're in line at the grocery store, and I apologize for something silly and he casually says,
"It's ok, I'll beat you later."
Or the fact that besides calling me Chach, his nickname for me
is Stinky. The sad thing is I actually respond.

2. He secretly loves dancing.
Even though he tries to deny it, I know the truth and now all of you know.  The boy dances. Sometimes he'll throw a move or two here and there when we're at a reception or at my parents house, but let me tell you the boy moves in ways I didn't  think was possible.

3. He loves bike riding.
This is a duh but I love that he loves riding bikes. What I love most is that he won't wear his backpack on his back when going to school because it will "wrinkle his shirt" so he puts my basket on his bike. Whenever he's in a hurry he will just take my bike, which could possible make him look gay. I don't think the bell that says "I love my bike" helps his situation either.

4. He knows the Gospel/Church History/Scriptures so well.
His mission did him good because he knows so much. I sometimes have the most random question that I'm not even sure has an answer to, and he'll give me an answer with 3 scriptures to support it. He also knows church history and the apostasy so well. Someday I'll know the scriptures as well as he does. He also secretly says his morning prayers every day. I didn't know he did this until I tried waking him up after I thought he fell back asleep on his knees.

5. He lets me listen to whatever I want in the car.
Usually this consists of Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson and  whatever other girly songs I want, but he enjoys watching me dance. He'll even dance along too. I won't tell you that he knows the words to most of the songs.

6. He keeps my iPod up to date.
Lets just face it. I am musically challenged. Thank goodness one of his passions is music. He knows so many good bands and he is always making sure I have the latest and greatest on my iPod. Thanks to him I am
more connected with the music world now.

7. He's into fashion?
Yep that's right.  He loves to go shopping and loves clothes. I have never seen a bigger tie collection in my entire life. He is very aware that shoes and belt always need to match, and he even has white shoes to match his white belt. He also likes helping me pick out shoes. The brighter the color the better.

8. He watches all of my shows with me.
Not only does he watch them with me, he gets into them.  From The Bachelorette,
So You Think You Can Dance, Here Come the Newlyweds, to Grey's Anatomy he is all into that stuff. Don't let him fool you, he eats it up.

9. He enjoys analyzing the love lives of my friends.
What?? Ya I know, you're probably wondering by now if he likes rainbows and butterflies too, but its true. Sometimes I won't even bring it up, and he'll just
want to talk about when they're going to take it to the next level, or if they should be dating someone else.

10. He loves kids.
Sometimes during sacrament meeting I have to remind him that we are in church because he is just as wound up as the kid in the bench in front of us that he  was just playing with. He is always talking about how he wants our kids in vans, our boys in argyle sweaters and our girls in polka dot dresses and bows in their hair.

And of course there are a million more reasons why I love this boy! This post was way longer than what I had intended it to be when I started so if you made it this far you are a true fan and I appreciate your dedication to our blog.

Yay for 5 months, I can't wait for the next 70 years!
